only femails have boxes. ( ha ha)
BUT
I think you can select an option to reveal your e-mail if you like to get overwhelmed with hate mail

are you using web mail?
if yes? then please try to do these troubleshooting step:
1. open the internet explorer browser
2. go to tools, click internet options
3. go to general tab of internet options delete cookies & delete file
4. go to security tab click custom level -set to medium low
5. go to privacy tab accept all cookies
6. go to connection tab click lan setting - make sure that there's no proxy
7. go to programs tab click reset web settings
8. go to advanced tab click restore defaults
9. click apply & then click ok
10. relaunch the internet explorer browser
11. reaccess your email account
12. try to send/receive email to your own email address
