yea you should still go...u never wanna miss the first day of school.....dont worry about not having your books yet bc its the first day and if your going to a community college like i went to they will prolly be ok with you not having your books yet...plus i never bought books for college anyways...the only books i needed was biology english and math...im sure you have left over pens and a notebook from high school laying around somewhere...just grab that bc you will have class and you'll need something to take notes on if your school doesnt have labtops you can use in class to take notes on.

What do you mean do you still "have" to go? Its not 8th grade when your parents kick you out the door.. You should want to go otherwise youre not goin to get very far..
You dont need notebooks/books on the very first day. Because sometimes on the first day the professor will inform you.. you arent required to get a specific book but maybe if you want you can.. That way you can decide if you want to spend the $100+ on it! I would suggest bringin a couple sheets of paper and a pen! Just incase! So you can take notes of quick things, like how many notebooks you might need... Or on the off chance that there's actually an assignment your first day! Maybe you should bring money too incase you need to buy a book right away at the book store.. And get to a reg store as soon as you can for notebooks other wise youre goin to fall behind! If you're serious about college and your future then yeah go! You can get your stuff together after class. You should meet some motivated people to help you get your stuff together.
However, if you're like this from the get go then maybe you should quit and go get yourself a job at the local fast food place. Maybe it'll be more fascinating than actually doing something good for your future.

For the first day all you need is paper and a pen. No worries you'll be just fine. Yes you need to go. Half of life is all about showing up prepared or not showing up is the most important.

Yes you need to go you will be sorry in the long run if you don't. Get yourself prepared for life with an education. Education is something that no one can take away from you.
