In the movie Jake's character is more open to exploring a homosexual relationship.......you get the feeling that he may have done it before and that he may indeed be bisexual........Heath's character is experiencing it for the first time and is conflicted about it.
They both did a great job acting out their respective characters feelings.

the role calls for Ennis to be the aggressor in the relationship. He is te one who is wanting more out of the relationship. But if you look at the scene outside te apartment, Jack all but attacks him. Personally, I don't think either actor will ever live this one down. Ledger had to go out and make Casanova to try.

That's why it's called"Acting" . I read that there is a way actors can simulate a kiss without actually kissing .
It did seem well acted-but simulated , to a point . Men , as well as women were blowing noses & wiping their eyes when the film ended.

It's called acting. He did a great job. The character he played was more emotionally open than the character Heath ledger played.

Brokeback Mountain was a disaster. A love story? Not even close. It was a story about two down-low cowboys doing unnatural things and taking their tainted penis' back home to their wives. Hollywood is sick; they sold that awful movie to America and they bought it. Hmm...I wonder if the movie would've played so well if the men were two Black dudes from Watts in the 60's working at a local community center.

I do believe that he just ACTS well that's why it looked too real. Give him a break. I do not think he is gay in real life. :)

They were not even cowboys. Did you see cows? It's just pushing the envelope with American Society to accept homosexual lifestyle. Because, it's the last major obstacle for the World homosexual movement.
