These are two men with low self-esteem. And you can add Karl Rove to the list. They were either picked on because they were fat little nerds or they were spoiled little rich boys that could never measure up to the preceived successes of Daddy and Mama never missed a chance to let you know what a disappoinment you are. Drugs and alcohol are the natural choice of escapism. Now Karl the nerd just harbored resentment his whole life and decided he would do something really big to make those bully's see that he was not wimp and that he was very brght and he could get whatever he wanted by manipulation, lies, and any other means necessary. They are all junkies.

Drug abuse is a global problem, not a Republican problem. How many liberal Democratic celebrities have been through rehab? Everyone has a drug of choice, whether it is cocaine, marijuana, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, sugar, or Oxycontin. Even chocolate can be considered a drug, as it contains sugar and releases endorphins in the brain. Some just choose drugs that are illegal, or use them illegally.
Even Democratic poster-boys like Bill Clinton admit to using drugs. Don't assume just because you hear about Rush and Bush all the time that the problem doesn't affect both sides equally.
To someone who posted before me: Yes Oxycontin is legal, unless you resort to fraud to get a prescription for it.

Who do Democrats, like Clinton, think they are fooling people by claiming they "Didn't Inhale" yea OK. Come on Dems, you must have some conspiracy theory, how could you puff, but not inhale? Why do you badger Rush, the man, at 500lbs was clearly in pain. Cabbage(Oxy Ctn) is legal, yet you call Rush a hypocrite and let Clinton go unquestioned. Why?
I guess Rush and Bush like to live life in the Fast lane.?

Uh, I assume you mean Rush LIMBAUGH. And drugs seem to be no respecter of political affiliation! All politicians nowadays seem to be under the influence of some mysterious wacky tobaccy! They probably all get sky-high together as we taxpayers finance their salaries today, and their lifetime pensions and 100% health care coverage tomorrow. Yahoo!

Because they have to deal with their tendancies that go against their Xtian platform. They're frustrated and have to find a way to vent. It's hard to Bush to admit his homosexuality, and the same for Rush.
