I was wandering this because I am going into college and I was wandering if it was possible because I wanted the best of both worlds so I thought I read somewhere that a mac computer could run a windows application and then could be restarted and the person could choose to run the computer as a Macintosh is this true and is it possible.

Yes, with the new Intel Macs and a free download of BootCamp (beta), but you have to supply your own version of Windows XP Service Pack 2. Mac OS 10.5 will have this feature built in. The cool thing about this is that before, if you wanted to run Windows on your Mac, you would have to have run Virtual PC, which would immulate the PowerPC procesor to run like an x86, thus doing more processing than normal, and it had it's quirks. BootCamp may have quirks too, but it runs Windows natively, so your apps run faster.
