be practical, the american and the european will not given their best food, they are the greed master in this world even they are the merchants of death, if only they will truly help the 3rd world they happiness and prosperity will come to this world even world peace will be attained if only they share,

I think its something to do with the logistics. It'd cost more money to ship it all to where its needed (that's like a whole other Q&A) than it would to transfer the money and purchase the equivalant amount from a local producer. Ethically though its a sound idea.

Of course it should, it should also be given to the less fortunate in Europe and USA as well but it will never happen - the governments are far too greedy and controlling it's disgraceful.

We don`t realise how fortunate and we are with all our "luxuries".

The amount of food that is thrown out from our supermarkets is something else.

Why have we so many supermarkets!! You can only eat so much!!

I think we sould feed the hungry in third world countries. We have more than enough food in both countries.
