Why do people keep asking such nasty questions about Indians? Do they not understand that if they know one Indian who has flaws, it does not mean all Indians are like that?
Why do some people think they are the center of the world?
The questions are biased too, they have an attitude before they ask the question!!!
People, if you don't like us, leave us alone!!! Don't hurt us like this!!!!!

This is not a generalization... there are hundreds and hundreds of such questions... these are just examples.

And lol, I am not talking about natives...

I think it's more a general disrespect or misunderstanding of other cultures, and those topics just happen to be about India. It's likely that you'll find other questions about Muslims, Fundamentalist Christians, the Chinese, you name it.

I know those questions are offensive...but it's best to develop a thicker skin if you're going to continue perusing these types of message boards. Just attribute them to people with a fundamental lack of understanding.

On the plus side...when you see those types of comments, go ahead and speak up...correct those misperceptions. Give India a voice. :)

What we Europeans have done to our Native brothers and sisters is inexcusable and disgusting. I live in downtown Toronto and we have always had a large number of Native Peoples living here. Unfortunately they are dis-placed and sufferring on the street.I live in the red light district and have become friends with a few sex-trade -workers, but they are really slaves. For every 10 girls working the street, the 9th one , being Aboriginal ,has always had 10X worse of a past and present than the white girls.I was not born in Canada, but am European and when my family from Spain and France come over to visit my mom 1st. drives them through the red light district so they don't get any ideas this is an equal opportunity country. Then in the afternoon we take them to Spadina rd. where there is an incredible Native run and prosperous theatre that overwhelms me personally. No matter what play is on, I am brought to tears and am also educated am moved through Story Telling.Tourists never see that. Most Torontonians never see the East side of town where my Native brothers and sisters lay on the ground in complete dispair. What makes me even more angry are the beads and Dream Catchers sold here in Canada which for a large part are made in China, not by the people of Turlte Island.I can go on for ever about this. I will end this article with one final say. The only people in my life who have never betrayed me have always been Native. Leave my Native brothers and sisters alone if you have nothing good to offer or did not ask you for anything !You are hurting their spirit.

There are some people in this world who were born to hate

Unfortunately some of them have access to a computer.

Please do not let such ignorance-- hurt or upset you. Not everyone feels that way. Most of us ignore all the prejudice questions because if we chastised them all we'd wear our fingers out typing.

But if you look closely, the majority of those on Yahoo answers are kind and decent people.

Last month these same hurtful people were flaming Mexicans.
Tomorrow they may start on a different nationality.

TO be fair all these question were asked by only two idiots. Now it is an unfortunate fact of life that there are bigots is the world and putting links to their stupid comments only creates a greater chance that more people will see it. Dont blame everyone for the sake of a couple morons ok?

i don't understand that either! i answered a qyestion that an indian asked about facials, and this gurl starts saying these terrible things about her!!! she was saying sumthing about cow dung and how stupid indians are. i cant believe it. i never knew there were such horrid ppl. theyre most likely americans, becayse all they think is that US is the middle of the universe of sumthing. But i'm french, and half argentinian, live in china, been to africa, and i just wana let all other indians that they should not be intimidated by what others say. keep your faith, and God bless you.

Its called ignorance and there's unfortunately nothing we can do about this problem in America except ignore it and go on with life I have to say there is a lot of horrible smelling people out there not just Indians I feel your pain and wish you the best!!

Nothing at all. :) Anyone that DOES, you should ignore. Criticizing them is like throwing gasoline on a fire; they make a bigger stink if you give attention to them. So, brush the dust from the soles of your feet and move on from them. They are not worthy of any sort of dignified response.

i laughed at some of those questions, but just because they didnt specifically offend me. But, if i was Indian, i would report that person because it was wrong, and not to mention mean.
