I don't really see the point of human cloning. Aren't there enough humans as it is and messing around with nature can be a dangerous thing as we all know. The technologhy might be available, but is it ethical?

No even i dont think that there is need to clone human when they can be reproduced in natural way...well but i really appreciate technology of clonning....This technique scientist could use on other planets like moon and mars where there is no human being...what you say???

At present I don't see how there is a genuine need to clone people unless they are to be used for spare parts which would be unethical because we can't assume that they are any less entitled to the same rights as a naturally conceived person.

Scientists have already successfully grown certain human organs from cell samples so when this technology is developed, entire human cloning will no longer be required for spare parts.

The only time we will ever have a need for cloning is when a population shortfall endangers the future of the human race.

The wealthy will see this as a way of immortality by investing in a succession of clones of themselves. Unfortunately, they would all exist in different periods of human history and would be affected by their environment. A clone would not have the 'memories' of its original source.

It is sheer arrogance to assume any individual is 'perfect' enough to warrant cloning.

By circumventing the natural production of humans then the benefits of mixing the gene pool are lost.

Evolution of a species would be halted if cloning became universal.

Cloning defeats the 'rotation of crops' and agriculturists are aware of the dangers of that scenario.

Cloning is immoral and unethical and there can be no real benefits.

The fashion industry seems to be making a good job of cloning people as it is. Walk down any High Street and see the endless rows of human clotheshorses sporting GAP T-shirts, the Nike trainers, baseball caps, Gucci handbags,

Aldous Huxley's Brave New World of 87-twinned Boskoskificarion is here already!

Why Ethics are eligible only to science and not applied to Business or political area? Why not? Should we bring Darkness age again? Due primitive religious/superficial philosophical way. Feed Hipocrisy way to act?

Ethical is controversial, once that they left people starving to have better prices to chocolates.

Any kind of reproducing techniques are eligible to be studied and should be available. Clone is only anther level to do it. what is dangerous is what they will do with it, like Nuclear knowledge or even TNT. Block science development is something close to medieval age atittude, block due philosofical controversial ideas based on not real problems, once we have worst things happening and nobody are talking about or even talking about.

Clone Humans are Ethical and you can produce without original sin (WOW). - ok, without it

People can have clones. Its good Idea to keep humans race alive after terrible global disaster ... caused by humans.

No we should not clone humans, because many people would see that as unethical. It would probably never lead to the scenario you find in the science fiction thrilled "The Island", but it could be abused. Also it could lead to a "mono-culture". Can you imagine cloning 100,000 copies of George Bush, or Elvis?

We already do clone human cells for research and medical purposes (grow up more skin cells for burn victims, more white cells, more stem cells, etc.) Cloning individual cells or even whole tissues for medical reasons, research should be allowed.

If cloning really excelled, life would improve measures you never expected. Imagine if there were shops for human organs(legs, arms, eyes etc) we couldn't have the beggars we have around. Just think if your heart failed today, wouldn't it have been better if we made another heart for you. I believe this is the future of cloning-not coming up with other humans. Also remember that science is there to improve the living conditions of man.

If our species is to make any advances, it will come from the use of recombinant DNA and selective breading. We could eliminate cancer, and all other diseases. Clone technology promises to be the most significant advancement in health care. And there is no moral reason not to advance it.

While we are at it, I'd like a clone of Marilyn Monroe . . . .

hey,I'm a twin-and yes,its natures way,but I'm SURE my parents would've done it thru a lab if they had a chance, its sick to make new people this way-if we start doing this, where is the end..what next??making people with eyes on the back as well-for convenience and other freaky things..Nature has right to create, not us,and yes-there is already tooooo many of us,we don't need confused clones, who will probably be screwed up from too many questions-what they are,who they are,and many why's..WE SHOULDN'T go ahead,.... don't doctors have better things to do,any way??
