I am about to give up on this site. After realizing it is taking over my free time, I want to go back to normal, to think straight and be myself again. What is the point in getting so many points? At this time I have 952 points, in level 2. What is the main idea? I hope you give me so clues about this new hobby.
What I need to do is to study for my math test! It will be this Saturday!

I think if it's taking all your free time then you have a addiction to answers. So turn off your computer and don't get back on till your done with your math test. Go study. If you can do that then you will learn how to manage your time better. If you can't then join a support group for yahoo answers anonymous. :)!!!!!

THis will not go anywhere and if you keep addicted to it either you will go nuts or start hating it...
A word of advice life is full of interesting things to do so no matter how good a thing is dont get obsessed with it enjoy it from time to time....study for your math test bcs it will do u good

i just get on here while my kids are asleep in the morning. i'm not really addicted i guess. perhaps you can find a way to just limit the time you spend on here... set a timer for say... 10 minutes DURING STUDY BREAKS. if you can't control the urge to stay on longer maybe you will have to give yourself a time out. SCHOOL is important and there is no question on here that needs any one particular persons point of view... each question gets its fair share of answers.

taking over your free time? studying for a math test is not something you do on your free time. the time you will spend on studying can never be your free time. don't you enjoy being here? if yahoo answers has made you miserable, then you really have to quit. if it's eating up your precious time, QUIT. otherwise, have fun and enjoy what yahoo answers has to offer. for me, it's precious laughter.

having the same trouble, I'm obsessed by getting to level three and I can't explain why, may be it's because I don't have a personal life which is sad...I'll probably give it up after I reach level 3

We test ourselves in our knowledge of things and the ability to answer the questions with the BEST ANSWERS.I love to excercise my mind in all areas of knowledge-it's good for me. Your brain is like a muscle-it needs excercise too!!!!!!!
