Over the last week or so I have been having alot of pain in my lower back and my thighs, then a few days ago I started getting nauseous everytime I ate. My period is due within the week, but I've never had back pain or nausea as symptoms it was getting ready to start. I've considered pregnancy, which is possible considering my husband and I do not use protection, but is there any thing else that can cause these things? I mean, I haven't done anything out of the ordinary to cause this, I do the same job everynight, actually I've been doing lighter work the past couple weeks, so I really don't understand. Any help is appreciated, and please don't say it's pregnancy, I'm already considering that possiblity and I'd like to consider all other possibilities first.

Well, my period was due this week and didn't come, I took a HPT and it was negative, so I'm most likely not pregnant. What else can cause these things?

As far as I can tell, and I am not a doctor, just sounds like something my husband went through in December. It sounds like kidney stones. Keep an eye on the color of your urine. If it gets unusually dark or has any type of pink or red or brown color in it at all, it could have traces of blood in it. These are not commom in younger people, but my husband has had them and he's only 24. If you do see discoloration or have anymore pain, I would go see a Urologist.

Also, I get pains much like you're describing right before I start my period. I haven't always though. It started just after I have surgery to remove HPV cells from my cervix. I'm not saying you have it, but that's what caused mine. I am very sensitive there now. If you go to the doctor and it turns out not to be a urinary tract infection, kidney stones, or a kidney infection. Try going to you OB/Gyn and have an exam done. They can tell you it's connected to your menstrual cycle.

Not alot else to consider do you have fever or pain on urination? sometimes a kidney infection can cause low back pain and nausea but not sure on the pain in the thighs take a pregnancy test first rule that out and see your doctor. The human body is so far under discovered it could be something serious. If your waiting for your period to come you could be wasting valuable time.

well it could be the beginning of a kidney stone. like others said. my husband is 24 and has a kidney stone. but it only hurts him when the stone moves. he has very bad lower back pain and feels nauseous when he has the pain. i did hear that if a woman has a kidney stone, it can pass way faster then if a man has it. what type of job do you do? it could be from working. i work almost 10 hours a day as a receptionist and sit down almost 95% and i always have lower back pain and pain in my thighs. you could try stretching more often. take hot baths. put your leggs up straight for couple of minutes to move the flow of your blood in your thighs. good luck and i hope you will feel better. if it gets worse, please go to your doctor.

It could be that the muscle pain has tightened the muscles in your back & is affecting your neck which can cause headaches & nausea. Perhaps you need to do more stretches before physical activity & a trip to your local remedial maseur or physio would be a treat for your back pain.
