If you typically train in the morning, chances are you're burning energy stores from the previous day or two. Maybe try and occasional higher-carb/protein meal the evening before a lift.
It really just depends on your bodytype, and how you respond to certain foods. You can also try multigrain bread with 6-8 egg whites/1 yolk. That is a staple breakfast in my diet, while adding 1 cup of OJ and a 1 cup of coffee. Trick is to combine carb/proteins for maximum energy.
