Nopes, never. To hide one mistake, dont do many mistakes...whatever the secrete is, i would not advice anybody to sleep with that guy or girl at any cost as there is no moral value...best luck...

It will only give that person another "secret" to blackmail you with.
It is better to face the truth, once and for all, than to spend all your life trying to cover up a lie. If your worst secrets were exposed what is the worse thing that could happen? Guess what? If you sleep with him or her, that is not going to stop that person from telling your secrets if you ever make him or her angry and they want to get revenge on you. ' Fess up, pay your debts and let the truth set you free. Then stop abusing sex as an instrument of bribery, reward and punishment. That is not it's purpose!

All these morons above me haven't lived life. They must all watch cartoons.
The answer is YES. Go for it and make it fun.
Here's why: If you "have secrets" then you're too dumb to hide them when you need to. If your "secrets" would screw over your friendship, then you don't really have any friends. If your best friends steady has eyes for you, then it's a compliment.
Sheeeeit, what's the problem? Not only might you have fun, but then YOU would have something you could hold over THEM.
Now, note down all the losers above me who burped out stupid answers and disregard anything they tell you in the future. As to me? I've lived your question. Been there, done that.

That is blackmail... and no guarantee of preserving your secrets... only making them more enticing to divulge... and to show what lengths you tried to protect them... you should never be afraid of what you did... your secrets are yours, and when YOU tell someone... then its not a sectret anymore... you can only run from the truth for so long.... just pretend nothing is wrong and keep going.

No way; besides "blackmail" - thats a compromise in my friendship and my personal integrity.
I would rather be humiliated with the knowledge of a secret...than destroyed by that secret and how stupid I was to trust someone to keep it.

I wouldnt do such a shameless thing. For me to have any secret with someone, I need to trust that person with everything around me and not to sleep with him/her for keeping of secrets. Trust is the key.

and that's totally optional...there is no excuse for a mistake...not unless you have AIDS or something or that you are the leader of a terrorist group...it's all your CHOICE...you're not only cheating your bestfriend, you are ending your friendship in the most horrible way...
