I heard that silver polish does it - not that I ever tried. I have a pair of copper earrings and my friend told me to clean them with silver polish...

I agree with Soar-- people work hard to get that green patina-- infact, they buy products to make their shiny copper oxidize quicker to get that green patina. -- so think it thru.

If you are sure-- Brasso is the thing-- Amway has a metal cleaner that works well, too-- it's a paste. Brasso is in a flask shaped can (probably plastic by now).
good luck

I wonder if good old copper cleaner would work, be a lot of work and time consuming, but I bet it would be beautiful.

Are you sure you want to clean them. If your doors have taken on a patina that is natural and a desired feature.
