Because nationalists who want war at all costs hate those who want peace.American nationalists are among the most belligerant in the world.The pacifist type shatters this illusion that "war is good,if you're on the right side",thus the venum from right-wing conformists.The also use ant-liberal hate as a substitute for sexual passion.

If someone has nothing more to say than 'Bush is dumb' they are a loathsome creature. If they say moronic stuff like 'Republicans are all rich white men' they have proven their lack of brainpower and deserve scorn and derision.
If a Dem has something to actually say, something to actually debate without the above idiocies, then they will have earned some respect. Lanny Davis or Joe Lieberman or Chris Hitchins are examples of Dems I can at least respect for being able to debate issues.
Most of the rest use hate-filled rhetoric and drive-by bumper-sticker political sloganeering. Those types - Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Helen Thomas, NYT, WaPo, etc deserve no respect and should be spit upon for their vileness and mendacity.
I only treat respectful and respectable people with respect. Respect is earned.

I'm a Democrat and I just noticed why some republicans may hate us. Because people create screen names like "ihateboosh." Do you honestly expect to get good answers with this? You're just asking for hatred. Plus, you're giving the rest of us a bad name. I don't hate the man, I just disagree with most of his policies.

Two different sides of the spectrum. . .I am a republican and I have had some VERY good friends that were Democrat, so I think it is unfair for you to say that all republicans hate democrats. . .I will say this though, ever since your person didn't get picked for office you have been pouting like little babies and I think that is stupid. and I will say this too we need to support the president NO matter what party he is from. I like Bush and I think he is doing a WONDERFUL job under the circumstances. I would rather have him in office than have someone who lied and committed a felony. The President is supposed to lead by example and there is one democrat in particular that I recall who did not. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND PRESIDENT GEORGE W. republicans hate democrats because democrats support real people. like, the poor people, the elderly people, and the foreign people.
republicans are usually rich white people who are too stuck up for their own good. they suck.
ps-forget about those other people who posted to your question dissing you for your user name. bush is hated by a lot of people. and being that at least here, in the US, that the first amendmant is the freedom of speech, we can express our hatred to that idiot :)
