I am sorry you feel like you are alone with this problem. It is tough being 15 and it sounds like you are having an especially difficult time. I wonder how and when you approached your mother, so I can't say whether or not she is the person for you to go to. You may want to try talking to her again, show her your cuts, and tell her you need help. If you do not feel this will work, or if you try it and it does not work, PLEASE find another adult you trust that can help you. You shouldn't have to go through this alone, and you deserve to get help so you can be happy again!

You mean you cut yourself?
If so you need professional help. Maybe medication, but also definately someone professional who can help to find out why you cut.
Cutting your self is mostly a form of selfpunishment. There must be something behind it why your body is looking for this relieve of tension.
This reaction of your mother is in my eyes a cruel reaction. You can not be aspected to figure this out alone, certainly not at your age.
But if you where 38 I would also have advised you to look for professional help.
I wish you a lot of strength and selfrespect!

If I was your mom I'd spend time with you but I gurantee if you'd came at me with a knife that would of been your last time because honey you would of had a pow right in the kisser

A lot of times parents don't listen. Maybe you should try going to a school counselor. Another idea is to search the web for a depression site. If you find a number, call it

Go tell another family member. Talk to a friends parents. Keep trying till someone takes you seriously and gets you the help you need. Don't give up just because she reacted that way.

Tell your school counselor. Or try your best friends mom. You can also make your own doctor's appointment and ask your doctor for meds. Call the boystown hotline. All these people can help you find someone to talk to.

I believe that your mom has a lot to do with your problem and it is hard for her to admit it and deal with it so she just chooses to ignore it. Get help elsewhere. Start by talking to your guidance councillor or a teacher that you trust. Things will work out, but you have to take the first step. Be strong. You can do it!!!!!!

Honey, I have worked with kids who do this. Kids don't like to tell when they are doing something like this. It is a way for them to repress themselves. But if you do, do this then go to a family counseling center and tell them you feel you need help. They can not turn you away.
