yes someone can. on windows there are hidden folders that stores every file you view on the internet including what you download. that includes files you download off of p2p programs. normal deleting what is in temporary internet files don't get rid of them. what you see in the temprary internet files folder is not actualy in that folder. just go into the temprary internet files folder on your computer and type\content.ie5 in the address bar after everything else that is there. do not delete anything else that is in the address bar click go and you will be taken to that folder. from there you will see subfolders that you are able to delete. but still there is a file that is stored listing all the pages that you have been to and you can not just delete that it will say something like you can not delete it because it is in use. you have to delete that from outside of windows. or a easy way is to assign a new folder as your temprary internet files folder and you can delete everything. none of this matters because you can recover any file that is deleted nothing is actualy deleted phisically from the drive. you will need a program to do that and still it wll only make it harder but not impossible but most people just give up on trying if it to hard.

If you are wroking on ur personal computer then only an expert can see what sites you have been to.... But, if you are at ur Office and sharing ur CPU with 10 others then it is a child's play for the systems people to track you down......

For the layman the deleting process is OK .. But, for an expert in web technologies or for a system people there is no escape......

Hope ur DAD or Girlfriend are not the Tech Experts........

Just kidding........

Yes, a computer expert could recover the files, but it takes a professional, the files are never really deleted they remain on the hard drive, police experts recover deleted files in investigations.

Yep, but it will take a professional to get those deleted files. Even if you uninstall, delete or even reformat your hardisk, there are traces of previous files that can be recovered by special programs. We use recovery programs to recover deleted excel files, and its amazing as to how much data can still be recovered despite the fact that ordinary users deleted them already :))

Yes but it would require special recovery software, the info on a harddrive remains on the harddrive until it is written over. There are special software programs that will actually write over data rending it unrecoverable and if you use it then the data will be unrecoverable.
