We don't, we just show it differently. Most of the time our lust is not based entirely on the urge to have sex anyway, it can be a lot more complicated.

We don't hide it, we are just more subtle about it. Most guys turn into dogs on heat when they see a pretty woman, whereas women will be more appreciative of beauty, glancing over etc.

Because in a lot of cultures we are dealing with a patriarchial society that demands that women we subservient, demure, docile and virginal. In a lot of countries women are taught from childhood to deny that they have any sexual feelings. We are told to remain pure and are not taught to recognize and deal with our sexuality. Then we get to the dating stage, and unless we've figured things out for ourselves, we are accused of being frigid because we don't automatically jump into bed with everyone we go out with.

Generally speaking, women are socialized to not be as open about sex as men because of the stupid stigma that women who like sex are considered sluts. Unfortunately, the sexual revolution of the 60's didn't do much to change this.

A lot of woman are shy even if they don't show it. We all have lust in us. We just bring it out in diffrent ways.

Generally, most societies indoctrinate little girls to hide their libido. Not suprisingly many are unable to come to terms with it properly when they are adults.
