Well your screwed either way. If u don't wanna take them on, then they get your stuff, but if you do decide to take them on, one of two things will happen, 1) You win, then u get sued by the robbers and get put in jail, or 2) u get the beating of your life and u lose a TV and DVD player. I'd just ring the police and let them get on with it. Sad that the world has come to this!

I sympathise with you if this actually happened. Anybody invading your personal "safe haven" can be extreamly scary. I would have tried to creep back to my room without them hearing, then text somebody to notify the police, then call the police yourself (text 1st incase you are heard making a call and stopped - at least you know someone knows and will be doing something to help you - lock yourself in however you can, and try and get out of the building (climb out of the window if you have to) Either way, it is sad that this is what the world has come to, when you are not even safe in your own home.

I think paul2Ali's idea was good, only in my area they all go to bed early lol so i would have to knock there doors down for attention, i also think Lauren S had a good idea with the whole txting thing , i guess i would do the txt then ring from one of the cupboards in my room and then put my phone on silent and cover my self up with the clothes in my tall cupboard.

I have a nice collection of swords and daggers ( decorative ones). and there is a nice big claw hammer behind the dresser down stairs. I believe reasonable force is now allowed so they would probably fall down the door steps too :P I do hope this didn't happen to you though, not a nice experience. but these days just find out where the smackheads go to flog stuff as it was probably them.

well quietly sneak out of sight from them, grab a phone and a weapon to protect yourself. Call police. If you cannot get to phone without them seeing your. Stay hidden wait for them to leave, when they leave see if you can see what car they drive off in. Call police. Change underware now. And if its like me.. let them take the stuff, I need new anyways. Insurance covers it.

If I was alone in the house I'd lock myself in the bathroom VERY QUIETLY, and phone the police.
