That is not the point to this site......why are you even on it wasting space? You could look up every last one of everyone's questions on here...we know that.

I'll assume you realize by its very nature that your plant holds more water in its leaves and stems than other plants.

It also might like to recieve more water, but must also have adequate drainage. Its roots and leaves can rot or yellow the same as any other plant from overwatering.

You'll also understand, I hope, that many types of cacti, can go for long periods of less water.

Seek advice from a decent garden shop, even take the plant to them. Since you don't specify what the plant is, perhaps you don't know. I suspect you can find out, first hand, easier than you can here.

Most of them like sandy soil ... mix in some sand (1 part sand to 2 parts potting soil).

Ensure there is good drainage.

When you water them, you'll want to really water them ... letting the excess water that can't be absorbed into the soil drip out of the bottom (so you should have it on a tray or something).

Let the soil dry out before watering again.

You will see that the plant is healthy by the light green parts of the plant where the growth is taking place. In the winter, ensure that you keep them warm and avoid frost or cold conditions next to a window (obviously, depending on your environment/location).
