say you've been having all kinds of pregnancy symptoms but you keep getting neg. results. Has this ever happened to someone? For how long until you found out you really were pregnant? Is there a situation where you just have lower HCG level?

I happened to me 3 yrs ago, before I went on vacation I took the test and the result were negative, and 2 months later I found out I was pregnant. I have no idea how can this happen

I had a good friend get pregnant in April of 2005, she took test after test and they all came up negative. Finally in June she went to the doctor and it turned out she was pregnant and her HCg levels were very low, but the baby was ok and now she has a happy, healthy 5 month old son.

BUT, I also knew a girl in high school who missed her period for 2 months and had most pregnancy symptoms. When she broke down and told her parents they took her to the doctor and they found out that the fetus wasn't properly attached to the uterine wall, which happens sometimes in first pregnancies, and within the month she miscarried.

There is really no way to know what could be the problem without consulting your physician.

Many woman have lower hcg levels in the begining of their pregnancy...its really quite normal... Look at the first site it gives you info on which tests are more sensitive than others...Walmart and dollar tree brands are 2 of the more sensitive ones out there...If you look at the 2nd site you will notice that if you are pregnant just with low levels, you might not be able to detect with urine until week 6 which is when ANY pregnancy test should detect it. And thats with the lowest sensitivity tests. If you think you are and you are late for your period, go to the dr. They will do blood and theres no missing that as they dont test for a certain amount, they test to see if its there at all. You can even go to the e.r. they do it there oh and yeah I have known a few people that couldnt find out through urine tests until they were 5-6 weeks!!

It's normal. You may simply not have enough HCG in your system to show on a test yet. Also, make sure you take the test first thing in the morning, when the levels are at their peak.
If you continue to have symptoms without a positive result, see a doctor and have him do a test. If you're not pregnant, you need to find out what is wrong!

There may be many reasons. Are you sure you are doing the tests right? If you are indeed pregnant with symptoms, it's highly unlikely that several tests would show up negative. Some people talk themselves into having symptoms and it may all be in your head.

Go have a test done at your doctors office.

Yes, that can happen..and does happen. If the test is taken too early, is one reason. Also, some women just don't respond well to those urine tests. Blood tests will however, work for everyone.

Situation you stated is not in perfect order. However, such a situation may also arise sometimes. Several factors could be the reasons for such an unpleasnt and unnatural scenarios.
