I am currently beginning to gather information regarding the possible lack of black youth (particularly male) in the creative sector. What are your opinions on this matter, do you know where I can obtain more information?

Hip hop is the number one most popular music in the charts.....I know the charts arent seen by everyone as creative art, but it shows that large sections of the "creative" industries are open to black minorities.
It would be useful to remember that black men have actually had more obvious success creatively and than black women and pretty much any other minority.

well it depends on which black minorities. I am from SA, people there struggle to survive...especially the black people. They only do what needs to be done to survive. and secondly...they didn't have the opportunity's to develop their creative sides while growing up. Even with natural talent...you have to keep on practise. If i can take a wild ques...I think they see that sort of thing as an luxury and even if they wanted to do it...their families what have said: Will that put food on the table?
