watch what you eat, cut down on the carbs and if you must cook with oil use olive oil that will also reduce the joint pain, any thing white has sugar in it and also corn is full of sugar. try to cut your meat intake down. and instead of eating regular meals eat a lot of small ones. and do as much exercise as you can

boy this is a good one.. i think i may be asking this question..but i know i did not..anyway the best i can say is to try to burn more calories than you take in..and get what exercise you can.. besides joint pain i have a burning pain in my back up by my neck..it even hurts to stay on the computer for long.. i take lots of tylenol and somekind of patched for the burning and still try to burn off calories and then lay down.. i also try to get out and walk at least twice a week.. i also clean apartments once in a while and just suffer cause i do not want to get fat...watch what you eat and drink lots of water..do not have real fattening foods around at all.. save them for special occasions....then i still watch how much i eat.. we will never be as thin as we was but i am trying not to gain any more....i also bought some over the counter fat burners but i do not recommend them because they; make me more nervous and counteract with any medicine you take..so i wasted money there...my age is 50 plus 3 and i did not think i would be so bad a shape but the doctor says a woman was not suppose to go through what i have and done the labor in work and all that i have done... besides abusive husbands...so just do the best you can...and love you for who you are.. try and cut fat and exercise when you can and do not dwell on it..easier said than done.. i hate fat on me...but good luck...

meditation, yoga is the best. it would not only reduce your weight but also give relief from your joints pain. do not give stress by doing any exercisesthat causes stress to your joints. you should consult a good physiotherapist if your joints pain is high. dont let stiffness develop in you by sitting ideal that would cause more troubles in future. all the best for your health.

I have a personal suggestion..

It is yoga course. Just join for any yoga course. May be it is a weekly program or a workshop.But do learn the posture through a teacher and practice it regularly. This will be helpful for getting rid of your joint pains also.

I'm guessing you're saying that excercise is painful for you because you have joint pain, and that you stay at home mostly?

Ok then, based on this assumption, eat healthily and do what you can to excercise. Try aqua-aerobics or other water sports, the water supports your body so you are free to do as much as you please :)

By doing the following
Regular aerobic work outs on a limited scale with proper guidance.
To be on a recommended diet
Regular YOGA practice.

try cutting down on sugar and switch to whole grains like brown rice,wheat pasta and whole grain bread.and eat leaner cuts of red meat.and eat chicken breast(it has has the lowest amount of fat).and trying walking.

why won't u do yoga by seeing the several programmes that come on the TV like the Yogas of Ramdev Baba.
Trust me it is effective.
