If u want a normal birth without a chance of a c-section get a birthing doula. They will make sure that u birth your baby(ies) the way u want to. So many doctor rather give a c-section so the don't have to be interrupted at dinner or sleep they just pen u in. Get a Birthing Doula they will give u all the routes that u have open to u and they will make sure that u get what u want. Which it a birth with good memories.

Im sorry but labor is rarely easy, thats why its called labor!!!
Walking around at first will bring on the contractions and should get things going a lot faster. Dont have TOO many people in with you - only those you know will be supportive and be there for your needs. Soft music and dim lights create a calmer atmosphere - and you need to stay calm and focused. Focus only on your body and your baby and try to enjoy the experience - as hard as it may seem!
For my first birth I was so opposed to drugs, I wanted everything to be natural, now I look back and realise how silly I was, I accepted the gas for my second child and that really eased the contractions so much. By my third I had an epidural and didnt feel a thing! These are only alternatives though - if you feel you cant cope.
Congratulations, enjoy the whole thing, it is an amazing experience - the second you hold your little one in your arms you will have forgotten the pain!
One more piece of advice - remember that it is YOUR body, don't let other people including the midwife tell you how you feel - you know your body better than anyone, what feels right and what doesnt. Remember that you are in charge - everyone is there to help and support you and your little one!

A c-section birth is up to the doctor not the patient. You will hear all kinds of so called remedies but for me if you want natural birth...prepare for pain beyond anything you can ever imagine. Everyone's experiences is different and I have had 4 births and each different. I have had epidural, demoral, and natural births. Breathe, focus on the task at hand and do WHATEVER your doctor tells you. Good luck!

stay active as long as you can. when you go into labor, if (when) the pain becomes too much, the best relief is an epidural. with my first baby, I was in labor for 20 hours before I got my epidural, then I actually slept the last three hours of labor! but if its not given exactly right, it can make one of your legs go numb. like it did with my 3rd baby.but that was still better than the pain!If you are dead set against a c-section theywont give you one except in an emergency. I wouldt worry too much about it. besides, the worry would stress you, which puts you at greater risk for premature delivery, and c- section!

You can't really do anything to avoid a c-section if it is needed. Childbirth is normally not easy and not meant to be. It's beyond the worse pain you have ever had but some women have it easier then others (short labor)

By judiciously and routinely doing physical exercises meant for painless labor including the breathing exercises. Better refer the written advises profusely available and follow the directions.
