First of all you want to go to a REPUTABLE salon. Do not go to one of those cheap places where they do not speak English. THOSE are the places that ruin your nails. (to the person who said research shows this, well, they did not research MY nails--they have only seen the awful mess from the chop shops)
You do NOT want tips put on your toenails. You can get a beautiful set of pink and whites applied with gel or acrylic that will last for months.
If you choose to go to one of the chop shops that use a dremel, expect the toe nails to look just like their fingernails; like chicklets and/or duckbills.
If you search around, you will find someone who can make the toenails look great.
I would only apply a tip to someone who has no toenail and then they could get a few in different colors so they could change the polish.

don't do it!!! i got them once because my girl is going to beauty school and needed to try it on somebody. it hurts when you have to put on closed shoes or even one that don't leave all toes open, plus it messes up the nails. it was a waste of time!!! rather get a good pedicure and french your toenails, same look, last for about three weeks if you keep putting on some clear polish and is much cheaper and you can even do it yourself with a little practice.

Why would you need fake toenails? Im not being sarcastic, just wondering aloud! Have you got deformed nails or something? If not, the just bung some pretty polish on your real nails and off you go! Am intrigued now....fake toenails......interesting! Bx

Maybe you should try them, I think it would be better than fingers because ( I mean really) how Many people really look at your toes. I you do make a mess you can always go to a professional salon, and they could fix it for you

I wouldn't recommend them. If you do get them, either buy some of the easy-off ones from a drugstore and do them yourself, or be extremely careful if you get them done at a professional salon. I had a crack in one of my toenails from someone shutting it up in a door, and when I went to prom I had my nails done and said toenail. Two weeks later it was accidentally kicked off my foot, leaving me with no toenail and in one heck of a painful experience. I'm just now begining to grow my toenail back. Otherwise, they looked really nice. So just be careful ;)

Just go for a good pedicure instead, probably the same price as false nails. One of my mates tried them an they were an absolute dissaster, even with a couple of us to help. Treat yourself and relax!

Fake TOE nails? LMAO. Aren't toe nails supposed to be short and trimmed anyway? No, that's not attractive, but thanks for the laugh anyway! :D
