You mean all this time it was in my mind? Uh-oh, I think I'm in trouble.

The short answer is "Yes," I have wondered how life would be if it had background music just like in the movies.

Now, would it be good or bad? Good, of course. What do you mean "bad?" As in poorly produced? Or selected?

When romance blooms there'd be lush strings and crescendos.

When I'm in traffic and get stuck at every red light, and then by every train in the world the music would be comic or frustrating, depending on my mood.

Whenever I'd grill on a hot summer day there'd be music by John Philip Sousa or something like that.

And so on.

My question to you is, would I hear the background music?

Or would everyone else hear it but I wouldn't because it's my life / my "movie"?

I think it already has, but every single one hear his/her own background music. Maybe it's a kind of philosophy, but I think that even if we don't hear the music itself we sometimes have the feeling without hearing it. Any way, I think it would be interesting if we have a real background music in life, but again as the guy previously said, it will depend on the genre, because if you are a bad person and you decided to leave your lovely girl and you both want to hear music at that time, then you'd prefer to hear a victory music while she would like to hear a very sad music because you have different feelings at that moment

i think it would be great and break a lot of barriers lol, imagine meeting a girl and feeling she may be the one. The music would sound and if she didnt run away screaming u know that u r about to enter something great.
Also, you would never again be worried about being murdered or mugged because the music would warn u and u could act accordingly.
Great questions u have though, are u a philosopher?

That would depend on the background music I suppose.

Its been tested and proven in the 'hangout' areas of some shopping centres that when they play classical music, there is alot less trouble from the usual troublemakers that hang around. It has a calming effect.

Ya, when I am running, or doing somethin brave and heroic. That would make me feel like a Charlie's Angel or somethin. Imagine the Block rockin beats playin when racing, river raftin...the flute and saxophone playin when I reach the peak of the Alps....Grrrrreat

i so understand where you are coming from i think about that all the time and i wish life did have background music, there would never be an awkward silence and life would be more beautiful instead of normal and dull sometimes ps. thats so cool you think like me!

It would be good, but only if we could turn it off sometimes. Why do you look so much like Brendan Frazer?

I think having music in the background could be very distracting in some situations....I don't think I'd like it much,I'd much rather hear the natural sounds I hear arround me now.
