TAKE COURAGE ! THERE IS HOPE.
Try to be yourself in front of her.and don't be afraid of her. She won't bite you. Don't be like "OOh, I gotta impress her?" kind of thing when you are talking to her. Build your confidence by going to the gym to build your muscles, learn some skills, wear presentable clothes, improve your communication skills then I'm sure along the way, you will find yourself having a hard time de-impressing your girl.
Try this as well:
1. Start with your interests/sports and invite her there (say, bowling alleys, swimming pools, etc.)
2. Carry yourself modestly. Don't overdo it.
3. A well behaved men sometimes attract women (i think).
4. Invite her to parties for singles.
5. Ask her friends what her favorite food is and invite her to a dinner.
6. don't go to the bars (it's risky).
7. If you are good to one girl, this will be passed around in a jiffy. And you will meet more girls...for you to choose from.

You don't have to be a superman just be your self and be friendly and be sure of your self because girls sense that you are a shy person ...and why r you shy to speak to girls they are just human beings like you not better than you...be sure and confident of yourself ( by the way I like eduardo answer)

It would be easier if you could speak to her, but If you can't speak to her - you must find another way to impress her.
Impress her with your good looks and your talent. Impress her with you competence and efficiency. Impress her with deeds of kindness.
