Wel if you have a large pic as your screen saver it will cause your pc to run slow, also if you have alot of windows open this will make it slugish. When my pc is going especially slow (because of viruses) I restart it (ctrl, alt, delete pressed simaltanouesly) and this helps it to go a bit faster!

type msconfig on run command and select the applications that are necessary as running too many would slow down your system's performance,
try uninstallingunwanted applications and delete cookies and temporary internet files and all offline content ... if this didnt provide any improvement then go for format of your hard drive...
All the best .....

try doing a restart. If that doesn't work, is your computer doing any downloading while your working? That could slow it down. Have you cleaned the tower in awhile? Dust and dirt slow down the system by overheating.

maybe you have some memory problems.
try deleting unnecessary files.
they try to consume your space.
also, try running an antivirus program. More often than not, slow computers are usually due to viruses that attack a computer system.
For more info, try windows troubleshooting.
i hope that helped.

Do on thing if u don't have imp data on Ur system then format the system and reinstall windows. and If u have important data then just do one thing update your system and install a good anti virus (Avast) and after that install one software called system clean up. And also uninstall the software which you don't use normally.

delete cookie and temp files...close unneeded programs running in the background>>(have someone to help you with this one if you are not sure about what programs to close); run spyware removal program, run virus scan defrag and last but not least add some more memory to the machine.
