Sometimes, you just hafta' swallow your pride and forgive the hurts, when it comes to sisters. I have two younger sisters, who consistently make me mad & hurt me. But I have learned to be a more patient and forgiving person through it all. Also, it has helped me not to be so sensitive.
Anyway, I guess I just realize that friends can come and go, but family is forever. That is why you have to meet them 1/2 way, so to speak.
Yes, let her have her day. Do something nice for her. Kill her with kindness. It'll knock her off her feet!

Why not talk to her. People always argue about things and to stop talking over such trivial things is pathetic.

This is my friends response (yes she is annoying!):
My sis and I are always arguing also, just tell she's your fave sis even if she's the only one. Always works for me, how about buying a copy of 'In her shoes' great film with Cameron Diaz and Toni Colette, about a turbulent sibling relationship.

Of course you should. My mother and i have been arguing and can't come to an agreement on my children but when birthdays and Hollidays come i make sure i send something. Send her some flowers or something you know she likes. She's still your sister no matter what happens.

Yes she is your sister. You love her no matter what. Tell her "I know we argue a lot but I love you have a great birthday" Things will work out and you may even stop arguing. Good luck hun

yes you should. It is a very good chance for the two of you to make things up because you will only come to realise as time passes by that in times of troubles sisters and brothers are the ones who stand by you.

Yes, absolutely yes! The big freeze will continue until someone breaks the ice. Apologise even if it's not your fault. It can work wonders and make her apologise too. Friendship is more important than winning an argument, or whatever stopped you talking.

Nobody knows what's the matter from your posed question. So if your argue would make her happy, then do that. But if you think the argue would make her sad, Never argue with.

You didn't give much details. I do think you would feel better if you clear the air. She probably also wants to clear it up and be close with you again. Be the bigger person and help her have a happy birthday.
