Is your pc mem full ? if not no you dont need more

Having more memory is always a good thing, but only if you need it. IF you are running lots of intensive tasks, like 3D games for example, then if you are finding your computer slow, maybe more memory will be good. But if you don't use your computer for anything other than internet, and the odd simple game and maybe a bit of typeing then 512 MB is plenty of memory.

Basically it is up to you, it all depends on what it is that you are using your computer for.

It highly depends on what you do with your computer. If you just play on the net, type up stuff on word programs, stuff of that nature then 512mb is plenty. Now if you play high end 3d games, then I would recommend at least getting 1gb (1024mbs) of memory. Also it makes a difference on what speed your ram is as well. PC2100 (talking about DDR ram that is) runs at 233mhz. I would recommend PC3200 which runs at 400mhz. Make sure you computer is compatible with this memory before you buy it though. Good Luck!!

If you're using your computer for gaming, then definitely. If you like having multiple programs (not multiple web pages, though)running at once, then probably. If you're using it for what the average person uses a computer for (internet access, etc.), then no.

BTW, I forgot to say that adding RAM doesn't make your computer any faster at all, at anything. Having a faster processor will, and having a faster hard drive will, but not adding memory, unless you're using it to play games.

depends if you need it
is the computer running slow, even after a reinstall from scratch?!? I would doubt it, but you may use a lot of programs simultaneously. Best way to tell is if your HDD thrashes. Thats the best indication that your running too low on memory
