yea they are OK to store stuff that you don't mind other people seeing , like photos , which do take up a lot of space. I wouldn't store anything personal on there though like bank details etc...

Basically it is access to a directory [like a hard drive] on a server.

It can be accessed across the internet. Even if it is protected by passwords etc I would advise against it as it is not safe . . . especially if you want to save stuff to it that you do not want anyone to see.

Friend i think you re talking about something which is related to web storage. see there are some companies which give you space to host Your web site and there are some software also which allow you to host you site from you computer .

I use www.box.net. I don't work there. I just think it is the best of the lot.
