Disk space memory or physical (RAM) memory?
For disk space: Go to my computer, right click your drive and select properties. Your usage is there on the pie chart.
For physical memory: Right click your start menu, click Task Manager and then select the Performance tab on the new window. Near the bottom is a box saying "Physical Memory (K)". If The Available is low (or 0) then you are running low. - Solve it by shutting down programs running in the background or buying and installing some more RAM.

if you go to tools at the top of page and internet options clear all temp files that should give you extra space

generally your HDD starts to thrash (lots of accesses that are not for saving files). This is because of virtual memory.

Don't worry it will slap over your cheek. (I am sorry if you mind it but your question is quite stupid)
