I went to the avatar to have a picture, I picked out everything I wanted on it but it will not show up next to the questions or answers. What do I have to do to get a picture instead of that goofy smily face. Mind you, I am very stupid when it comes to electronics or computers so please give entire details, I'm old

Click on your name that is blue, its hyperlinked.
It will take you to your Q&A page profile. Click on the link EDIT MY INFO near your profile on top of your Questions list and then you need to choose the button that says "Use my Yahoo! Avatar", its next to the header called PICTURE. Then scroll down and click PREVIEW and then it will preview your yahoo Answers profile. Then just click submit and you got it!
If you want your real picture some day, then you need to set up a 360 account and put a picture on your 360 page. Then you can pick the 360 option and use a picture thats on your 360 page.

i am just like you when it comes to a computer......
go to your Q&A page and go to edit your profile and click on where it says what type of picture you want and click on avatar make your avatar then save then scroll down where it says getting started (using avatars) or on that page click on how to use avatars and read all about it.
then after you save your avatar save changes and preview your page. put use your avatar.
I know that dont sound to clear but i think that may help

In the avatar section, there is a trying on section under the pic that lists what you put on it, then there is a save changes. You gotta make sure that you click on the save changes choice.

I've obvious it. It's a fairly well film, I'd often provide it a eight/10. Good scenes, well snap shots, well animation. And fairly cool creatures. It's 162 mins of strong-ness.

did you click on SAVE after you were done ....after you get the picture you want they have a preview then click okay then click save
