It probably depends on you, where you are at emotionally, and what your economic needs are. You want to stay with kids if you have any and be the perfect mom. the kind you heard about in those stories, or dream ed of being. You also want to be part of the successful storybook families that magically balance career and family life perfectly and have the life style all us others dream of. aether way you are going to have times you wish you chose the other way. It will always be depending on whats going on in life at the moment.

That is a hard decision because I love being a homemaker, I don't do anything right now,but I love being home with the kids and taking care of my husband. Although, I have always wanted to be an interior designer. In the interior designer profession, they mostly work from home. So, I guess, in a sense, I can enjoy them both.

Well, it's not like being home means we aren't working!!!!! I have both. I work for my husband's construction/excavation company, and usually it's from the home. Of course, there's a bunch of driving around involved, meetings, physically helping him, etc.
but I like the combination.
I also do the cooking, cleaning, laundry, yard work, taking care of my kids, exercise, etc. etc.
A woman may go back and forth on whether or not she wishes to actually earn her pay outside of the home, but I promise you that my husband is very grateful to not have to deal with any housework or chores after a long day at work, so he has no complaints about pitching in to take care of me financially.

I have five kids ranging from a 15 year old down to an 8 year old. I have been both. Currently I work AND take care of everything at home. I prefer to work outside the home as that gives me a break from the monotony of everything at home.
