There is no secret. To have a happy marriage all you need is open communication, support for eachother, unconditional love and not taking life to seriously. You need to know how to enjoy life and enjoy eachother.
In my marriage I tell my husband all the time that I hope we are as goofy in 50 years as we are today. We have fun with eachother. But I think that main thing is to be honest with eachother and yourself. I love my husband very much and I make sure I tell him that as much as I can. You never know when it will be your last chance.

It is only in story books and in films they end it with "THEY MERRILY LIVED A HAPPY MARRIED LIFE FOR EVER THEREAFTER"
If people get married and continue to live as husband and wife that itself is a sign of good happy married life as otherwise in this modern world with so much opportunities to go in and get a divorce or get a marriage annuled why the hell (or heaven!!!) any body should live inside the bondage of a married life.
It is all THE OTHER SIDE LOOKS GREEN philosophy.
Marriage is like a circle Those outside want to get inside and those inside want to get outside and the bystanders like you look
at the game with mouth wide open as if some body is going to round everything in a capsuleas a remedy and drop it in your mouth to be swallowed by you.

Marry the person you're IN love with. You have to want them, not need them. You have to be happy to wake up next to them every day for the rest of your life. You'll go out of your way to do something for them just because you love them. Be honest. Be in love with each other.

Communication between the two of you which is open and honest. Also, remember how things were when you first met whereby you you pay attention to each other. It's easy to slip into a life whereby you begin to take each other for granted and begin to pay less attention to the things that count-each other.

My wonderful husband has a lovely answer to this question. He says, "No one ever plans for a marriage to fail. But you do have to make plans for a marriage to work." In other words it doesn't just happen, you have to make it happen.
And he's absolutely right. We'll have been married for ten years in September and have two beautiful children.
