We were very close with each other but after sometimes I realized that he fell in love with me. For that reason I tried to make him understand that I want him as a friend and not ready to go in a serious relationship but he didn’t tried to understand at all. We both are missing each other but can’t do anything. I need my friend back but he wants my love not friendship. What should I do?

Give it time. Your friend is hurt and feeling vulnerable. You are unfortunately going to have to wait this one out. He will come around and if not, then he wasn't a good friend to begin with.

he just needs to understand that your ready for a serious relationship and if he truely loved you then he will wait until you are ready or just be a friend to you, not run away all together.
