Yes. It is normal for babies to suck their thumbs. They do get pleasure by sucking. Babies are gift from God and whatever they do it is from God and it is with the approval of God. No worry if they suck their thumbs.

Even if you want to stop her from sucking her thumb, you shall not succeed. In fact you had also sucked your thumb when you were young. For centuries the babies have been sucking their thumbs. It is natural like rising of Sun in the morning. Do you worry or think why is Sun rising in the morning ? If not, please stop thinking or worrying on this issue.

I don't think so. I never let any of my children suck their thumb. I heard it hard to break them from doing it when they're older and I also heard it could cause them to have an over bite when the cut teeth. That I'm not sure of though.

depending on how old she is....sucking on thumbs and pacifiers can cause a gap in your child's teeth, but no harm. Try putting a little bit of lemon juice on her thumbs to keep her from sucking them, or contact your pediatrician for other ways.

It's normal for all babies. In a way, sucking their thumb is a way to learn about their thumb (which also explains why they grab for everything).

it okay now but when she gets older (like 4 or so) try to get her to stop. most kids end up shifting their teeth by sucking their thumb (i did). but also most kids naturally stop when they are two or so
