This guy that I know from 2 of my classes flirted with me all year constantly. He always made sure he sat next to me in class, tickled me, hugged me, sat with his arm around me, was very touchy feely(not in THAT way). He didnt treat any other girl in any of our classes like that so I thought that maybe he liked me. Then one day when I decided to ask to him to hang out with me kinda like a date, he tells me that he just got a girlfriend. I was so shocked because by the way he had been acting, I thought he liked me. Even all of our friends said that it was obvious that he liked me. So after that I started flirting with other guys in front of him, and I noticed that he would shoot annoyed looks in my direction like he was jealous, then he would find and excuse(homework,classes, politics) just to intterupt us from talking. So my question is first, do you guys think that he actually ever liked me? Second, if so,why did he get a girlfriend?

I think he just want to make you jealous, he wants to prove that girls like him, he wants to prove that he's popular. Guys are like that. He wants to look good in front of the girl he likes. Maybe he did that coz he's not sure that you like him, and he want to know what your reaction if he gets a girlfriend.

Okay i think this is a simple one. I a 31 years old so I have been in this situation before. Boys are the kind od creatures that will almost NEVER talk. You have to do ALL OF THE TALKING! Even in marriage.While you are young learn from what I am saying. If you like a boy, just write a note, send a text message, or email, however you guys communicate these days. Wait exactly one day, if no response then move on he probably likes somone else. At these young ages men never really know waht they want anyway. Some older men dont realy know, so take comfort in the fact that it probably wasnt anything you did.

I don't know why guys do this, but it's fairly common for them I think. I've had guys do this to me too, and I never understood why. Maybe you could work up the nerve and ask him? That would be hard, but maybe you'll get the chance one day. Then you can put the answer on here for those of us who didn't think to ask the guy why. Good Luck.
P.S.- Don't pointlessly flirt with other guys to make a different guy jealous, that means you are sinking to his level! Flirt because you want to and it's fun, but not to make a point.

No. I don't think that he ever liked you because maybe he was just hugging you and talking to you and playing with your hair to impress another broken up girlfriend (did he have another girlfriend?)
And for your second question: He got a girlfriend because some guys (more like 99.9% of them) are snobs and craps and they don't really know what true love is. Find a guy whom you know that won't break up with you and find another girlfriend.

Yeah, of COURSE HE LIKED YOU! ^ _ ^0 he was sending out some clear signals. maybe you made your move a little to late, but i guess, he did 2, so don't blame urself. and i also think that he got a GF b/c u didn't ask him out so he was making u jelous. i think he did like you but it took u a minute to respond to that and he probably wanted to make you want him or like him more by getting with someone else, guys are like that and will do anything to get it their way also known as games .

he is either trying to make some other girl jealous, or tried to make you jealous. he probably thought you didn't like him so he wants you to go after him by making you jealous

I believe that he is your friend only.He never think in that way .You misunderstand him.You may be in love with him.You should have cleared it at the beginning.

HE GOT ANOTHER GIRLFRIEND BECAUSE ALL YEAR LONG HE WAS HITTING ON YOU AND YOU TEASED HIM, NEVER REALLY LETTING HIM KNOW THAT YOU LIKED HIM OR WHAT HE WAS DOING. SOMEONE ELSE CAME ALONG AND LET HIM KNOW SHE DID LIKE IT AND NOW YOU ARE HISTORY.
