a co worker says that cat fish have periods is this true

um, no they dont. however, the do have a season. Fishes are affected by their ambient water temp, and the clenliness of their water. what this means in the wild is that their water heats up in summer, and is cleaner in the wet seasons. both of those are ideal for breeding, so they go into breeding mode in those circumstances. this can be replicated in your tank bu increasing the temp a few deg. and doing a 50% waterchange. i hope this answers your question
