No, but you do need to see your health care professional for treatment. Also, some treatments currently on the market, such as fluconazole (Diflucan), are not recommended during pregnancy. Be sure your health care professional and pharmacist are both aware that you are or may be pregnant.

Yeast infection is common in most pregnancy. There could be a possibility that it is something else going on other than yeast. Get check ASAP, try your hardest not to scratch it will only make things worst of how you are feeling now. But on the other hand don't take anything over the counter get a prescription from your doctor to take care of the problem the sooner the healthiest. Hope you feel better.

No, a yeast infection cannot hurt your baby. But you never want to self-diagnose anything that is going on with your body during pregnancy, even if you think the symptoms are the same. You should have it checked out before you use anything, just in case it's something more serious, like an STD or vaginitis

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

No is the answer alot of people will say, heck I would of also at one time, too but I know someone who did not see a doctor until it was too late and she lost the baby. She also did not practice good hygiene so that did add to the problem. But if you are pregnant and you have a yeast infection why would you NOT go to the doctors ???? they can give you something and because of being pregnant I would not use anything over the counter unless my doctor says i can. don't scratch too much and call your doctor his/her office should be opening soon Good luck

I can almost guarantee that a yeast infection will not hurt your baby. However, with that being said, do you know for sure it is a yeast infection? If not, I recommend you pay a visit to your doctor to have it checked out. Good luck!

As long as your water hasn't broke or begun to leak your baby will be fine. The aminotic sac and fluid protects your baby from outside bacteria and infections. Check with your doctor about which medicines are safe during pregnancy and if your close to your due date get the infection cleared up as soon as possible.
