They prohibit us to smoke. But smoking is very popular among doctors. What shud we do? Where will we go ?

They are people too. Everybody knows that smoking is not good for your health but some of us (including me) continue to do it. It's the same for the doctors. They tell you not to because you must be (once more) informed that it is dangerous for you, but the decision of accepting the risk belong to each one of us.

Why does that surprise you? Do you think any living person in America does not know that smoking is bad for one's health? And plenty of us "ordinary" people smoke knowing this. It just shows that doctors are no different than anyone else. We are all human.....

The same reason why nurses smoke, and you walk around seeing 300 pound nurses telling you how to live healthy. They're doing their job, it doesn't mean they have to live that way. It's a stressful job, and one must cope.

We don't do anything and we go nowhere. Doctors are humans and have all the same problems like the rest of us.

Very few people smoke, anymore.....so maybe they're just trying to drum up business.

because they are human beings just like the rest of us and have weakness and are not immune to addiction...it's like the old saying "do as i say NOT as i do"
