It rains more in Scotland because Scotland is more mountainous. The Gulf Stream brings warm water and air to the British Isles from the other side of the Atlantic. When this warm air reaches Scotland the mountains force the air upwards. As the air rises it cools and the moisture in the air condenses. This forms clouds and then rain. This does not happen in England as there are fewer mountains.

Something to do with a stream of air or something like that.
I am not completely sure. All I know is that it runs over England that's why there is a drought there while Scotland and Northern Ireland are drenched!

Tha weather is worse because of the geographical difference of Scotland to England. If you were to go the same distance south of England you would find the weather to be respecively warmer i.e.you would be going closer to the equator and thus closer to the Sun.

Its so they can stockpile it all to make whisky and then sell the rest of it to the English at an inflated price when they get a wee bit too much sun and the annual 'hosepipe' ban comes into force.

I think its something to do with the huge black cloud over Scotland since they failed to Qualify for the 2006 World Cup.
LOL.
