Avoid hurricane season, which is June 1st to about the end of October. A good time of year is February through May. Which island is best depends on what you want to do--some islands have more nightlife and activities than others. Nassau on New Providence Island is the capital and has lots to do. Freeport, on Grand Bahama is good if you want to gamble, play golf, water activities. The other islands, like Abaco, Eleuthra and the Exumas are good if you want to spend more time exploring, especially scuba diving, fishing and less time in clubs and gambling.

Any day my *ss. You want to avoid the hurricane season. I spent last summer in the Bahamas and there were at least 12 hurricanes that effected the island i was on. You want to go in late autumn thru early spring. winter is best it's not too cold.

Middle of January. The weather is very mild-- not too hot, not cold, not rainy. It's after hurricane season, but before tourist season.
I went to Freeport. Not crowded at all. Beautiful and relaxing. I hear Nassau is the place if you want the city- or nightlife.
