Some college classes, your student teaching lesson plans, and some annual Professional Developmenal Plans for licensed teachers, ask for personal reflection on what YOU as a teacher have learned from teaching a particular lesson. If you are being asked to write "personal aims/goals" for your lesson plans, then you are being asked to define what you want to learn from the lesson, or think you might learn from the lesson.

This is not a "state requirement," but is used mainly for professional development personal reflection.
