I don't think it was his brain child, that implies that he is capable of fairly complex thought, but I do think that he is somewhat responsible for these events considering his relationship with oil in the region.

As a staunch liberal who despises Bush:
No, not at all.

Conspiracy theories are fun, and all that, but let's apply Occam's Razor (look it up) here: Probably what happened is that a bunch of terrorists conspired to fly planes into buildings. All evidence suggests this. The groups responsible have admitted guilt. Independent investigations corroborated the results.

If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck....

Basically, what I'm trying to say here is COME ON! There are more than enough things which Bush has actually done for which you can crucify him - the way he misled us into Iraq, sent us spiraling into deficit, and so on, and so forth. To make up ridiculous charges like this not only prevents the real issues from getting any attention, but it gives liberals, progressives, and dissidents of any sort a bad name as people who come up with, well, things like this.

Get off my side; you're making my side look bad.

9/11 was Cheney and Rumsfeld's brain child. Bush continues to play the useful idiot...he may not even really know what happened, plausible deniability and all.

I totally agree with you! We shouldn't forget that Bin Laden got his military training in the USA, in the early 80's...G. Bush just needed a reason to declare the war against terrorism. He didn't hesitate to sacrifice his own people...
