We all know two teams will get in, but who will win it and who will get the wild card. I think the Tigers have proven their worthiness, so don't count them out. The white sox are doing good this year but are still like 1.5 games back. I think Cleveland MIGHT be able to make up lost ground, but i doubt that, and i think Minnesota and Kansas City are already out of contension to get into the playoffs. Please explain your reasoning for your picks. Also if you dont think either will get the Wild Card, say that. My picks are:
AL Central Winner: Detroit Tigers
Wild Card (from AL Central): Chicago White Sox.

I particularly don't think the Central will send two teams. I think the White Sox will represent the division, their pitching is solid from top to bottom. The AL West will send one team, the Oakland Athletics. When healthy, this is one very good team. Although, will they keep Barry Zito through the entire year? And how serious is the injury to Rich Harden? The AL East will send two teams. The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees will battle till the end, like always. Some will think that the injuries to Matsui and Sheffield will prevent NY from making the playoffs. But come on, you know Steinbrenner has about 3 deals in the works right now.

The White Sox are the best team and will win the division, if the Tigers can continue their level of playing they will probably be the wild card, but never rule out the Indians, especially if their pitching comes through.

There is NO way The Tigers win The Central.
The season is not even half way done.
I would like nothing more than to see The Tigers win it all,
but I am not going to get my hopes up.

The White Sox will win it. They are just too good.

The Tigers will finish 2nd. Maybe even the wild card, but I am not banking on it (it would be nice).

Cleveland will finish 3rd
Minnesota 4th
KC 41-121----the worst team ever.

And, Kirk Gibson is not a coach anymore with The Tigers.

I hope Detroit wins the AL Central Pennant, and the Chisox get the wildcard.

The White Sox are the defending champs so they'll just be tough to beat down the stretch, But the Tigers look pretty tough this, year, myself, being a Dodgers fan, still have adoration for Mr. Kirk Gibson who is a coach for Detroit, so I hope Gibby gets his boys to the dance, but if the Dodgers win the NL, am going to root for the Dodgers...
GO DETROIT!

Detroit wins the Central
And I HOPE that the Indians win the Wild Card (if it is from this group)
I HATE the White Sox.
But it is still early, about 100 games left.
