They're certainly better at spelling than you...

I an British but have lived in France for two and a half years. On the surface of it, the French don't live by the same rules as the British. Shops are not open as often, they are very family orientated, they don't go out and drink as heavily....

Once you get through the differences, I agree with an earlier reply, they seem to find more meaning in life through everyday practices - nature, food, sport, culture... is this boring for you?

I am not French, but I am living in France and I have to say that life here is in no way boring. Europeans in general know how to live, how to relax, how to make the most of each day. They know when to take breaks, enjoy the weather, etc. I have never heard that French people are boring, that is a strange stereotype for a people that everyone knows to be loud, talkative, very social and outgoing in general. So I don't know what your sources are, but you light want to check them (him/her) again and stop making generalizations. The opinions expressed above are just that, my opinions and my experiences, I am in no way saying every single French person is not boring, just the ones I have met are not. But no country is full of any one kind of people, that's why life is interesting.
