1968. Denny McClain won 31 games. He was "the ace" of our staff. He was supposed to kick butt, but it was actually Mickey Lolich who won 3 games in the WORLD Series.

He even hit a homerun in that series (although I dont remember what game, or off who).

1935 - Tommy Bridges was the winning pitcher in Game 6 versus the CUbs

1945 - Hal Newhouser was the winning pitcher in Game 7 versus the Cubs

1968 - Mickey Lolich was the winning pitcher in Game 7 versus the Cardinals

1984 - Aurelio Lopez was the winning pitcher in Game 5 versus the Padres

wow im a lifetime detroit tigers fan and i dont even know this one. hopefully it will be kenny rogers for this year though!!
