Every baby like every pregnancy is different. If this is your first pregnancy it is really hard to tell if you just have an upset belly or if your little one is kicking a way. At 21 weeks your little one is just that "little". Trust me once he/she gets a little bigger you'll be able to tell when they're using you as a punching bag. If you are still concerned ask your doctor they should be able to calm your fears and if they are concerned they can do an ultrasound to make sure your little one is literally still kicking.

Yes!! You should be feeling at least flutters by now. It may not be every day just yet, but at least every once in a while. If you are up and moving all day, you may not be noticing it, or your movement may be causing the baby to stay asleep during the day. Try eating and then lying down for a while, and see if you notice anything! MOst of the time, babies move more often at night, when the mother is lying or sitting still.

some first time moms may not be able to tell the difference between baby movements and gastric "bubbles". like it was said before, a number of babies are rocked to sleep by mom's movement during the day and are active at night. with my first one, i couldn't tell any definite kicks everyday until about 24 weeks, but at least a few times a week from about 18 weeks on. at that point, i could still lay on my front and that made it easier to feel the baby move.
