Yes, I definitely believe in it, do good things and good things happen to you, do bad things and bad things happen to you, it's easy really, just don't do bad things and you'll be fine. :)

Nah, not as the celestial point system some people think of. But if karma refers to one's own inventory of acts for the day, sure. If I've been acting like a jacka-- all day, I know I've made someone's day worse. Or the reverse. Being kind will have a positive effect, I know I've had some positive influence.
For those of who care about what kind of person we are, this will have an effect on our "karma" or self image. An a--hole can't realisticly expect everyone to treat him with respect or kindness. A kindhearted person has the moral right to say, "I don't deserve that, and won't take it"

One cannot say karma exist, reason- because karma is the result of our existence!
Karma is not a concept ( as mentioned above by someone) which was introduced by a politician!
Karma is a principle that guides life, it states that whatever good/bad one does it will come back and bite his/her butt before he/she dies!
PS: I had put it in a subtle way for everyone to understand.

Hi Ivy,
Karma does exist. Look around you. I can show you some people who where born rich, lived rich and happy and died rich and happy with very few problems in life. I can also show you some people who were born poor, lived miserably and suffered and died poor. This is called karma. It is a result from past actions and from past life as well. This is also proof that reincarnation exists . So, what you do today, does impact tomorrow and even your next life on earth. Karma > "as you sow so shall you reap" theory is REAL.

Karma literally means action. We first take an intent and follow it up with action in the form of thought, speaking to others, planning and execution. According to the Theory of Karma - every action taken to achieve a result or profit (fruit of action) leaves a trace or a karmic residue behind it. It is this residue that keeps accumulating and takes away ones well being and freedom. Only a person who acts to produce results without worrying about profit (Nishkama Karma or Niskarma) does not accumulate such a Karmic residue. Such action normally comes out of love or pure passion.
Quoting from Gita, Lord Krishna says: "I shall now describe nishkama karma yoga, the path of selfless action. You have a right to perform your natural prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to any fruits of that action. You should neither act with desire to enjoy the fruits of your work, nor, as a result, should you be attached to neglecting your duties"
How does Karmic residue work?
Any action whose motive is other than love or passion, begins a psychological compensation process which is hard to complete. Example: If we helped somebody when we did not want to - no amount of compensation helps later as we always feel incomplete. Any incomplete action somehow begins to consume a part of our free attention on how to get rewarded. During our journey of life we accumulate considerable Karmic residue and this depletes our free attention significantly. Lack of free attention means lack of intelligence. Many of the bad situations we get into in life are as a result of a lack of intelligence and attention.

You could test the theory of karma simply by doing something you know to be wrong...and then sit back and wait. You might not have to wait long, or it could take a lifetime...but it will come back, you can't avoid it.
