Dallas still hasnt played up to its pontential yet...and Miami isnt even putting up a good fight...Spurs or Suns had alot more talent and fight than old Shaq. And Wade sure doesnt put fear in to anyone....they have zero depth....San Antonio and Phonex could go to there bench's for help....but Miami looks slow and helpless

josh i never said Shaq needs to leave I said he was old and tired...hes still the best they have to offer....and I wouldnt even say Detroit and Miami fit in to the same catagory as Dallas, San Antonio and Phoenix...If this is the best the East has to offer....than the west is even more dominant than you think.

Undoubtedly, The west, at this point, is probably the strongest any conference has ever been. First let me say that Dallas is playing as good as any team can be expected. Not only have they stolen the NBA championship from the best team in basketball, (The San Antonio Spurs) they even stole their coach from the Spurs. Just joking !!!! I am a Spurs fan but since they lost to Dallas, In what is probably the best series of the entire finals including the championship series, I have to pull for the Mavs all the way. Keep it in TEXAS. Maimi is 2nd rate to say the least. Shack has seen his better days and should get out before he makes a bum out of himself. As for Wade, he has all of the tools to become a real super star but not with the talent in Miami. If anyone doubts the superiority of the western conference, just watch it next year. #1 - Phoenix will have Stoudemar back. #2 - The Clippers will only be better. #3 - San Antonio is just one center away from being virtually unbeatable. #4 Dallas will be the reigning NBA champs. The Eastern Conference #1 - Ben Wallace will leave Detroit. #2 Shaq will continue to deteriorate. #3 - LaBron James can't do it all by himself. #4 - Is there anyone else in the East worth mentioning? Parity will be a long time coming.

Without question the Western Conference is stronger than the Eastern Conference. Just look at the wins and losses in the standings. The reason Detroit had the most wins this year is because it plays in the weaker conference. I thought San Antonio was the strongest team in the west, but it shows you how deep the league is when you have two teams as talented as Dallas and San Antonio. If the Clippers were in the East, they would be one of the three best in the leaque.

Yes it's for plenty of motives. It has three for the 5 high-quality groups within the NBA within the Cavs, Celtics, and Magic. The different 2 being the Lakers and the Spurs. The East safety for essentially the most side play bigger safety at this factor. It constantly appears just like the west is bigger considering of the files that the west groups have. That is considering they beat up on groups just like the Clippers, Grizzlies, Kings, Thunder, T-wolves, Warriors who're all convenient wins. That is 6 of the 15 western convention groups which are a lock win each night time. The east has it percentage of dangerous groups, however on a given night time The Pacers, Raptors and bobcats can all rating wins of their constructing and are 35 win groups, while the west groups aren't even 25 win groups. In truth the Bobcats have received 6 of seven in opposition to the Lakers. The Pacers defeated each the Lakers and the Celtics final season. Even the Knicks had a win in opposition to Boston. The worst workforce within the east final yr was once teh Wizards and that was once most effective considering of harm, now not loss of proficiency. The Blazers received fifty four video games final yr. They weren't a 50 win calibar workforce, a minimum of now not but, however all the ones nights beating up on the ones 6 drecks on the backside of the west is helping. Yes the West will have the champions, however the Lakers have nonetheless now not demonstrated that they are able to beat the truly champs Boston at complete force. The Magic wanted 7 and no Garnett. The Lakers have additionally now not demonstrated they are able to beat Cleveland in a sequence. That kinda makes the Lakers a paper champion. East is the bigger convention.. Don't permit your eyes decieve you with inaccurate win-lose files.

samhbane, how can you say that shaq needs to leave, and then totally contradict yourself by saying wade needs better players around him. Shaq is still dominant, he just doesnt have the players around him other than wade.

but getting back to the point, yes the west is much stronger than the east. Other than miami and detroit, who really can you put in the same breath as san antonio, pheonix, and dallas.

The Western Conference has had a lot of changes compared to the Eastern Conference. Number one, the rules of hand checking are a lot stricter in the West, allowing players like Kobe or T-Mac to be as dominant as they like. Also, The West managers trade for young players so when they grow up, they might reach a good potential and become the next Duncan.
